St Petroc’s Bistro
“When we first opened St Petroc's Bistro, I served ‘elbows on the table’ food like Petit Salé, Duck Confit, Navarin of Lamb and Soups laden with garlic and lentils. Over the years the menu has become more modern and, while I don’t want to lose the best of those dishes, I want to reintroduce some classic bistro dishes like Bayonne Ham with Celeriac Remoulade, Moules Marinière, Steak Frites and Toulouse Sausage with Lentils.” Rick Stein

From our 30 day dry-aged aged chateaubriand to our Devon Ruby Red steaks, choosing something from the grill is a must when you visit St Petroc’s Bistro.
Mediterranean influences
Over the years the menu has become more modern and includes some of Rick Stein’s favourite dishes from his travels around the Mediterranean.

Our head chef Paul Harwood and his team serve steaks from the grill as well as some of Rick Stein’s favourite classic bistro and Mediterranean dishes.
Snug bar and lounge
You can enjoy your pre and after dinner drinks in our cosy snug bar or our relaxed lounge.
Rustic & charming
The atmosphere is bustling and lively where bold, modern paintings brighten the white walls of the bistro and cosy fireplaces and winding stairs complement the building’s rustic charm.
Alfresco dining
Our courtyard and pretty garden is perfect for al fresco eating albeit with parasols and space heaters to compensate for the variable weather.
Dog friendly
Although we can’t allow dogs in our bistro, they are welcome in our snug bar and outside in the courtyard.

We have ten guest rooms at St Petroc's Hotel & Bistro with some featuring four poster beds, cosy fireplaces and estuary views. Prices start from £150 per room per night, including breakfast.
