Jack Stein Wins Best Chef Award

We’re very proud to share Jack Stein was voted Best Chef at the Food Magazine Reader Awards 2023. Recognising his role in leading our kitchen teams as Chef Director.

Food Magazine Reader Awards

Hosted at the wonderful Nancarrow Farm, near Truro, the awards brought together some of the very best from the south west hospitality industry – celebrating everything from restaurants and hotels to food/drink products and cookery schools. A special occasion to bring together so many likeminded people to enjoy each others success over the last 12 months, with great food and drink during the evening, of course.

Congratulations to all the other winners on the night, including St Kew Farm Shop, One Fish Street, Crocadon, The Scarlet Hotel, Bovey Castle, The Cornish Arms (Tavistock), Ashburton Cookery School, The Library, The Whole Hog Lyme Bay, Sandford Orchards Devon Red, Bath Soft Cheese and The Beckford Bottle Shop.

Being part of the awards is a wonderful reminder of what Rick, Jill, Ed, Jack and Charlie have been working towards since 1975. Building businesses, developing teams and helping to put the south west’s hospitality industry on the map.
