A celebration of the sea
Our flagship restaurant in Padstow was opened by Rick Stein and Jill Stein in 1975. Nearly 50 years on, the menu at The Seafood Restaurant still reflects everything that Rick set out to achieve – a celebration of great quality fish and shellfish, simply cooked. Head Chef Pete Murt leads the way now, with his team perfectly recreating Rick’s recipes time and time again for guests to experience – including lobster thermidor, turbot hollandaise and Indonesian seafood curry.
The seafood bar at the heart of the restaurant is where you’ll find people watchers and real food enthusiasts who want to find out more about everything from our team behind the bar as they shuck oysters and pour drinks. Like a relaxed chef’s table experience where you can choose the menu.
Our great value set menu includes three courses of timeless recipes and while our set lunch menu changes often, it always includes popular dishes that can be found on our main menu.
Available 12pm – 2pm, Monday to Friday.
Our set lunch menu is unavailable 7th – 10th and 22nd – 31st December, 8th January – 9th February and 22nd March – 7th October 2024.
Each year our charity lunches are a chance for you to come together with friends and family to give back and support a charity close to our hearts. In January 2024 our charity lunches will be supporting Cornwall Hospice Care.
Head chef, Pete Murt, creates a great value set lunch menu for you to enjoy, find out more here.
Our bright and airy conservatory is now open for guests to enjoy a selection of freshly shucked oysters, perfectly plated sashimi and the world’s best Jamón, all summer long.

These limited tables are not available to book, so stop by and speak to our team when the moment feels right.
