Ultimate Christmas Lunch for Children in Need at Rick Stein, Barnes

On Monday 17th December we hosted a very special ‘Ultimate Christmas Lunch’ at Rick Stein Barnes in support of BBC Children in Need. Following a successful auction on Chris Evans’ radio show that raised £170,000 for the charity, we welcomed the very generous top bidders for a lunch packed with festive sparkle, the freshest seafood, of course, and a list of hosts that you could only dream of… Rick, Chris Evans, Joanna Lumley, Mary Berry, Prue Leith, Alex Jones, Angela Scanlon, Gaby Roslin, Reverend Kate Bottley and Carol Kirkwood, plus Charlie Stein was on wine duty and a Spice Girl (Mel C) sang live in the restaurant – incredible!

After lunch, the legendary Ken Bruce tested the guests quiz knowledge with a festive edition of PopMaster. Much dancing and merriness ensued.
