Imagine walks around Padstow harbour illuminated by Christmas lights, the sound of carol singing coming from cosy pubs, board games and drinks in our relaxed lounges and of course, plenty of food, drink and festive cheer. This break is for those that would love to spend a Christmas break in Cornwall – who think great food and drink should be at the heart of any Christmas celebration and rather like the idea of letting the experts tend to everything for a few days.

Christmas 2025 break itinerary

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve – Join us from 2pm, or arrive early to make the most of Christmas Eve in Padstow. Join us for a welcome drink at Rick Stein’s Cookery School in the afternoon. Hot drinks, mince pies and festive treats are served at the Christmas pantry at St Petroc’s.

Christmas Eve Dinner – Start with a glass of Champagne and canapés before an á la carte dinner at The Seafood Restaurant, enjoying classics like grilled lobster, whole Dover sole or turbot hollandaise to get you ready for the big day. The atmosphere will be magical.
Our team will be on hand to assist anyone who would like to visit a local church for midnight mass.

Christmas Day

Christmas Morning – Start your Christmas Day with a Cornish Bellini and breakfast at The Seafood Restaurant – look forward to favourites like smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Then grab a hot drink to take on a stroll around town or up to the war memorial to take in the fresh air and Christmas morning views along the estuary.

Christmas Lunch – “Rick’s perfect Christmas meal” at The Seafood Restaurant. The 5-course menu will include a selection of canapes to start, followed by smoked salmon terrine and lobster soup. Perfectly cooked roast turkey with all the traditional trimmings and beef wellington are available for your main course and finish with Rick’s very own Christmas pudding, of course.

Christmas Evening- A relaxed Christmas supper of hot and cold dishes will be served by the warm glow of an open fire from 7pm at St Petroc’s Bistro. End your Christmas Day in the lounge with a board game, a nightcap and one last festive bite to eat. What better way to top off a fab day of foodie festive celebrations in Padstow.

Boxing Day

Boxing Day – Brunch will be served at St Petroc’s Bistro, start at the much needed Bloody Mary station before selecting from the continental breakfast. Choose something more substantial from Jack’s brunch menu including smoked haddock bubble and squeak, steak and eggs or a stack of pancakes.

Spend the day at leisure, blow away the cobwebs on a coastal walk along the Camel Trail or around the headland, play a round of golf or relax with a good book and a glass of something. Join one of our afternoon cocktail masterclasses with our master mixologist Norbert before dinner.

Boxing Night Dinner – An á la carte dinner at The Seafood Restaurant. A chance to order some of the dishes you didn’t get a chance to try on Christmas Eve, or to enjoy tried and tested favourites again on your final night.

27th December

27^th December – The final breakfast before your departure. Or choose to spend a few extra days with us in Padstow for a supplement.

Enjoy a goody bag on your journey home, full of roast turkey sandwiches, sausage rolls, mince pies and a slice of Christmas cake, so you can keep the celebrations in full flow until you get home.

For the duration of your stay our lounges and festive pantry will be open at St Petroc’s. Our festive pantry will be stocked with hot drinks, mince pies, festive favourites, fruit and snacks. All available to enjoy in a comfortable chair or to takeaway and fuel your stroll around Padstow.
