This year marks 50 years since Rick and Jill first opened the doors of The Seafood Restaurant here in Padstow, the little harbour town that we call home. To celebrate the past five decades of cooking by the sea, we’re inviting you to enter our ballot for the chance to be one of 50 guests to enjoy a stay with us on the North Cornwall coast for just £50.

From those early days of The Seafood Restaurant to a collection of restaurants, rooms and shops dotted around Padstow and beyond, it’s been quite a journey. Over five decades, Rick, Jill and the team have poured their hearts into creating spaces where people can eat well, unwind and fall in love with coastal life.

As part of our 50th anniversary celebrations, we want to share the magic of Padstow with as many of you as possible. The bobbing boats in the harbour, fish and chips eaten on the wall with salt and vinegar covered fingers and estuary views we’ll never tire of.

Jill has designed all of our rooms dotted around the town, from snug bolt holes with thick stone walls and plenty of character, to grand spaces overlooking the Camel Estuary and room to sit and take it all in. Each one a little slice of Cornish comfort, with crisp sheets and seaside touches and just steps from our restaurants.

How It Works

  • Enter our ballot for the chance to book a room for just £50 for one night.
  • Ballot closes on 28th September 2025.
  • Winners will be picked at random and contacted on 29th September 2025 and given the chance to book by 31st October 2025 to secure their stay.

The Details

  • Valid for stays Sunday to Thursday, between 2nd November 2025 – 26th February 2026.
  • Excludes 4th – 7th December and 23rd December – 1st January.
  • Includes cosy, comfy and comfy deluxe rooms available at The Seafood, Prospect House, Café and St Petroc’s and generous rooms at Prospect House only.
  • Rooms allocated on a first come, first served basis and subject to availability.
  • One night per booking. Additional nights charged at our best available rate.
  • Full payment taken at time of booking and bookings are non-refundable.
  • Applies to new bookings of two adults only. Cannot be used with other offers or events.
