Clarendon Way Walk 2015

We are delighted to share the story of our Winchester team who will be participating in the Clarendon Way Walk in Winchester on Sunday 31st May.

The challenging walk, now in its 9th year, will take them through the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, the Test Valley and finally, the home city of Naomi House and Jacksplace in Winchester. Beginning at Salisbury Cathedral and finishing at Winchester Cathedral, the team will cover 26 miles in total.

The walk will be raising money for Naomi House, a purpose built children’s hospice that provides a homely environment to children and young people with life-limiting conditions. They provide individualised specialist care and much needed respite for families, enabling them to feel refreshed, rested and supported through the good days, difficult days and last days. Jacksplace is a hospice for 16 year olds and upwards and has been specifically designed to meet the needs of young adults. It is the only purpose built hospice for teenagers and young adults in the Winchester region, and gives life-limited young people the privacy and dignity they crave.

Liam Richardson, sous chef at Rick Stein Winchester says, “It’s simply a great cause. I did the walk 3 years ago and have been longing for another go. I did this as part of a team last time and we raised around £400. I want to beat that target this time.”

Liam will be joined by Neringa Adomaviciute (restaurant supervisor), Nathaniel Vowden (waiter), Lukasz Paszkowski (kitchen porter) and Tomasz Sawko (barman) from the Rick Stein Winchester Team.
