We opened the doors of St Petroc’s Bistro over 30 years ago, creating a relaxed Padstow restaurant where great food, warm hospitality and memorable moments come together.
Just a short stroll from Padstow Harbour, our menu celebrates the very best Cornish produce, inspired by Rick’s travels and a love of simple, ingredient-led cooking. Whether you’re joining us for a leisurely lunch, cocktails in the garden, dinner with friends or a weekend stay, you’ll find a warm welcome and spaces designed for every occasion.
Brunch, lunch and dinner
From long lunches and family celebrations to cocktails before dinner and relaxed evenings with friends, St Petroc’s is designed to feel as comfortable for a spontaneous visit as it is for a special occasion.
Our menus change with the seasons, celebrating Cornwall’s exceptional seafood, meat and vegetables alongside Mediterranean-inspired flavours that have shaped Rick’s cooking for decades.
The secret garden
Hidden behind the restaurant, our secluded garden is one of Padstow’s best-kept secrets. Join us for lunch in the sunshine, afternoon drinks or dinner under the Cornish sky. Al fresco dining at its best.
Ruby’s Cocktail Bar
Downstairs you’ll find Ruby’s, our intimate cocktail bar. Whether you’re meeting friends before dinner or settling in for the evening, expect expertly mixed classics, seasonal cocktails and a relaxed atmosphere.
Dog-friendly dining
Dogs are always welcome in our designated dining areas, making St Petroc’s the perfect place to stop after exploring Padstow. Enjoy the same menus, warm hospitality and relaxed atmosphere with your four-legged companion by your side.

Our Early Supper by the Sea is a chance to enjoy a relaxed, unhurried meal before the evening really begins. Two or three courses of seasonal dishes. Served 5pm – 6:30pm, Monday to Thursday. Not available on bank holidays.

Our lunch specials are chosen by Head Chef Mark and showcase the very best of Cornish ingredients and seasonal produce. Whether you’re escaping a spring shower or enjoying the sun on the terrace, take a seat and enjoy.
Discover our exclusive private dining room, the perfect setting for your next gathering. Tucked away above Ruby’s Bar, this intimate space seats up to 12 and offers dual aspect windows with stunning rooftop and winding street views towards the harbour, creating a bright backdrop for any occasion. Designed by Jill Stein, the cosy interiors reflect her signature style that’s effortlessly inviting.
Whether you’re celebrating with friends, family, or colleagues, choose from our á la carte menu with no minimum spend or room fee. For a touch of luxury, enjoy pre or post-dining cocktails at Ruby’s Bar below, accessible by the winding back staircase.

Our Charity Lunches offer a unique opportunity to enjoy a three-course meal while supporting local causes. Each autumn, look forward to a specially created set lunch menu, with £2.50 from each meal donated to charity.
In 2025 guests chose from three set menus, each celebrating dishes from the past 50 years.

There’s something reassuring about a set lunch, no lengthy deliberation over menus, no pressure to make the perfect choice. Just a well-paced meal, thoughtfully put together, allowing you to sit back, relax and enjoy good conversation.
Whether you’re dropping in for a midweek pause or marking the start of a long weekend, the dishes change with the seasons, and you’ll always find favourites from our à la carte menu.
Served 12pm – 3pm.
Please note: our set menu is not available during the Festive Menu period or Charity Lunches.
We believe family meals should feel like a treat, not a test. Our children’s menu is full of favourites, all £7.50, and if it’s one of those days when only a feast will do, you can add a Cawston Press juice and a scoop of Treleavens Cornish ice cream for £2.50 more.
Our fisherman explorer booklet invites budding young seafood fans to try something new. There are ten species to discover, from the familiar to the more surprising, with a sticky reward at the end, plus a word search and plenty of colouring-in along the way.
Secluded dining in the heart of Padstow
When the weather allows, our secret garden, nestled behind our restaurant near Padstow Harbour is the perfect spot to relax for a few leisurely hours with a cold glass of rosé and small plates. Open to walk-ins and bookings, stop in next time your passing.

We love celebrating special moments with you, and if you’d like to bring your own cake, we’re happy to accommodate with a small £5 per person fee. The Female Founder’s Table
We were delighted to host Jill’s Female Founder’s Table lunch last year.
Jill Stein was joined by Siebe Richards, Restaurant Manager of The Seafood Restaurant, for an intimate autumn lunch. Guests enjoyed an afternoon of conversation, connection and seasonal dishes, including sharing appetisers, a three-course menu with wine, and stories and reflections from Jill herself.
It was a sold out event and we look forward to hosting more.
