Charity Lunches return to The Seafood Restaurant
Our annual charity lunches have been going for over 25 years, starting life here at The Seafood Restaurant and now in most of our restaurants. We dedicate a few weeks of the year to support some of the charities that work tirelessly in our communities. They’ve become a regular date in the diary, raising over £15,000 in 2023, and we’re very grateful for your support.

The Fishermen’s Mission provides vital support to fishermen and their families, offering financial assistance, crisis aid, and pastoral care to those in one of the UK’s most dangerous industries.
As a business rooted in the fishing industry, we recognise the essential role fishermen play in bringing sustainable seafood to our tables. Rick, as Vice Patron of the charity, is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for their incredible work.
By joining our charity lunches, you’re helping The Fishermen’s Mission support fishing communities facing hardship, injuries, and loss, making a real difference to those at the heart of our industry.
How your Donation Could Help
Your support helps provide vital assistance to those who risk their lives at sea, ensuring they receive the care and practical help they need during times of crisis.
- £30 Could help fund access to a bespoken fishermen’s advice helpline, providing Rory with guidance and support through the challenges of a harsh winter at sea.
- £50 Could help put food on the table and keep a roof over Olly’s family, offering essential support after his dad was injured and unable to earn a living.
- £70 Could help fund trauma-trained Port Staff to regularly visit Joan, offering comfort and support as she continues to cope with the loss of her husband at sea.
The Fishermen’s Mission is dedicated to fighting poverty and despair in UK fishing communities by providing emergency and welfare support to fishermen and their families, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Charity Lunches return to The Seafood Restaurant from Thursday 9th January to Sunday 2nd February 2025, diners will be to choose from our special 3-course set menu for £27.50 plus a £2.50 donation. Donation envelopes will be available for those who wish to donate more. Last year, our charity lunches were a huge success and we raised over £15,000 for our selected charities. This year, we’re making it our effort to beat that.
Our charity lunch menu is changing halfway through, book today to enjoy dishes such as salt cod stew, teriyaki salmon and honey and clementine posset.
