Our Trusted Tools

Over the years we’ve tried and tested a fair few bits of kitchen kit, from pans that can handle the heat of a curry class, to pepper mills that don’t give up halfway through seasoning your hake.

We’re not in the business of endorsements but if you’ve ever found yourself admiring the tools we use during a course, this page brings together some of the products we currently use at our cookery school in Padstow. We’ve chosen them for their reliability, performance and value, whether you’re a keen home cook or just picking up your first decent knife.

Samuel Groves Pans

British-made pans with serious staying power
Our cookery school team uses complete sets of pans from Samuel Groves. Their cookware is solidly built, beautifully balanced and handles everything from slow-simmered broths to flash-fried mackerel with ease. The 3 ply design makes them incredibly durable, easy to clean and best of all they are compatible with all mediums of cooking from induction to gas.

T&G Woodware Mills

Salt and pepper mills that do the job and look good doing it
You’ll find sets of T&G’s Apollo salt and pepper mills on our workstations, with a smart stainless steel finish that stands up well to daily use.

Victorinox Chopping Boards

Hardwearing boards for busy prep stations
Best known for their Swiss Army knives, Victorinox also make practical cutting boards that we use day-in, day-out at the school. They’re lightweight, easy to clean and just the right size for most prep tasks.
