Jack Stein’s Seafood Odyssey Series
Jack Stein’s Seafood Odyssey events are a celebration of his lifelong love of fresh seafood from around our coast, and bringing people together for food and drink experiences. Having grown up in and around The Seafood Restaurant, great hospitality with an air of fun comes very naturally to Jack.
The series of events will see him join forces with chefs and personalities, including Anna Haugh, Sally Abé and Andy Oliver to collaborate on dinners at Rick Stein, Barnes that are inspired by a shared love of Great British seafood with flavours and influences from around the world.

Previous Seafood Odyssey events

Andy Oliver
Jack’s summer edition of his Seafood Odyssey series featured Andy Oliver – famed for his London restaurants som saa and Kolae. They brought together a special five course menu to celebrate Jack’s love of seafood and Andy’s obsession with Thailand. Whole deep-fried bass being the standout dish.

Sally Abé
Jack and Sally were the perfect pairing to come together for an evening that celebrated the best of British seafood. The hero dish of the night was without doubt a hot shellfish platter with wild garlic and Marmite butter. Crab, oyster, scallops, mussels, clams and more doused in the highly seasonal butter.

Lisa Snowdon
Jack was joined by TV personality, huge food-lover and former Celebrity Masterchef Champion Lisa Snowdon for an evening of seafood celebration at Rick Stein, Sandbanks. The full restaurant loved Lisa’s crab linguine recipe and a sea bass classic from Jack – whilst overlooking the water in Poole Harbour.

Will Bowlby
The first Seafood Odyssey took place at Rick Stein, Barnes, with Jack welcoming Will Bowlby, Co-Founder and Executive Chef of Kricket, to host a sold out dinner with him. The menu included Cornish lobster and crab, cooked to recipes from India – paired with lots of lively storytelling from the chefs.
