Summer of Shellfish Celebration

Since 1975, our restaurants have celebrated a selection of fresh shellfish from British shores. From prized catch landed in Cornwall like lobster and crab to nostalgic seaside favourites like cockles and whelks. We believe that quality comes first, which is why this summer we’re not only celebrating shellfish, but also the local fishermen and the skills of our expert chefs.

Our trusted suppliers, including fish merchant from St Ives, Matthew Stevens and the Murt family of fishermen in Padstow, have provided us with the highest quality Cornish catch for over 25 years. It’s close relationships like these, built on loyalty and respect, that bring our menus to life.

Lobster caught along the north Cornish coast is quite rightly regarded as the best in the world and all summer (subject to the seas) you can enjoy the wonderful combination of Cornish lobster and chips in most of our restaurants.

We’re proud to support the work of The National Lobster Hatchery and are donating £1 from every lobster and chips sold this summer.

This summer we invite you to enjoy Cornish lobster, chips and salad for £39.95 (including a £1 donation to the National Lobster Hatchery) – available in Sandbanks, Barnes, Winchester, Marlborough, at St Petroc’s Bistro in Padstow and The Cornish Arms (please note this dish isn’t served at The Seafood Restaurant). Our café will also have Cornish lobster on the menu, cooked in a Mangalore masala from Rick’s Indian travels. All subject to the seas, of course.

Join us for a special celebration of our dedicated and trusted seafood suppliers at Rick Stein’s Cookery School in Padstow. Jack Stein will be running the show, in conversation with our esteemed fish suppliers, Mathew Stevens and Johnny Murt.

Matthew and Johnny will regale you with their most memorable stories of adventures at sea, giving you a glimpse into the lives of those who bring the freshest Cornish catch to our menus every day. All while enjoying a three-course seafood supper and wines with each course, paired by Charlie Stein.

We’re lucky to work alongside some serious Cornish shellfish experts.
