Taste of 50 Years Menu

To celebrate our 50th anniversary, Rick and Jack have created a special four-course Taste of 50 Years menu. A collection of some of our most loved dishes from the past five decades at The Seafood Restaurant. It’s rooted in fresh, seasonal ingredients and the kind of simple, confident cooking that’s always been at the heart of what we do.

Four courses | £70

It’s been the subject of many conversations in the kitchen and around the table. The favourites that guests still ask about 50 years on. The ones that bring back memories. The dishes that speak to what our restaurant has always stood for. Simplicity, seasonality and a respect for Cornish catch.

Rick often recalls serving oysters Charentaise in the early days, a dish that surprised people but quickly became a firm favourite – the kind of bold, honest cooking that captured something different about seafood, so naturally it couldn’t be left off this special menu. Alongside it, you’ll find Cornish brill with a rich truffle sauce that brings the plate alive, and of course, chocolate fondant, as rich and indulgent as ever.

With a choice for each course, and while not a sharing menu, it’s designed to be enjoyed with others, comparing favourites, swapping forks and raising a glass to good food in great company.

“I loved putting this 50th menu together with dad. A real walk down memory lane to choose our best dishes from the last five decades at The Seafood Restaurant.”
