A voice note from Jack

This time last week I was at Rock Oyster Festival, cooking on stage and catching up with old friends. I’ve been going for years now and it’s brilliant to see it going from strength to strength. Proper local spirit, great music and even better food, it’s always a highlight of the Cornish summer.
Speaking of cooking in unexpected places, I’ve been filming for Cooking with the Stars which started on Sunday and I’m lucky enough to be paired up with the lovely Jess Wright. She threw herself into it, great fun to cook with, so keep an eye out for it on ITV.
I’m also returning to Saturday Kitchen on 16th August, always great fun to film, and back here in Cornwall we’ve been filming something a bit closer to home, a little series on our socials called Seven Bays, that showcase my favourite bays around Padstow and with dishes that remind me of being there. I’ve loved pulling it together with the team in the sunshine and hope you enjoy watching as much as we enjoyed making it.
Lastly, we’ve got a cracking lobster special on in some of our restaurants (Barnes, Winchester, Marlborough and St Petroc’s Bistro), Cornish lobster served with fines herbes, chips and salad for £38. A proper summer plate and great value for a local catch.
