5 must visit locations from Rick Stein’s Cornwall

Rick Stein's Cornwall locations

If you’ve got a holiday in Cornwall coming up (or are planning one, our rooms in Padstow are a great base), read and watch below to discover our five must visit spots from series three of Rick’s Cornwall – there’s a little something for everyone. Beaches, history, harbours, coastal views and more, including:

Porthgwarra

A wonderful little cove tucked away in the far west of the county. Plan to visit at low tide and pack a picnic to make the most of your day out.

Boscastle

History, walks, seafood restaurants and more.

Mother Ivey’s Bay

If you’re lucky enough to visit Mother Ivey’s on a sunny summer’s day you could imagine you were just about anywhere in the world. Park at Trevose Head and enjoy the 20 minute wander around the coast to this special spot.

Botallack Mine

A glimpse into Cornwall’s mining past. Looked after by the National Trust, Botallack and the surrounding coast near near St Just is very impressive indeed.

Prideaux Place

Located in Padstow, Prideaux is an Elizabethan country house, gardens and deer park with views of the Camel Estuary. Well worth the walk up from the harbour to see a different side of the town.

Rick Stein’s Cornwall

Rick has treated us to 40 episodes of his favourite places, people, products and more from his beloved Cornwall. Read about the locations and get recipes to cook at home from all three series of Rick Stein’s Cornwall – including fish pie, Cornish pasties and the very best cheese scones. Perfection.
