Congratulations to Jill on receiving an OBE

Jill Stein receives OBE We are delighted to announce that Jill Stein has been awarded an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday honours list published on Saturday 15th June 2013. Jill will become an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her services to the Restaurant Industry. Jill said “I am so pleased to have got recognition for the part I have played in the huge success of mine and Rick’s business over the past 38 years we have been here in Padstow. I’m absolutely thrilled.” Jill and Rick started The Seafood Restaurant in 1975.

With Rick’s natural cooking abilities and Jill’s instinctive customer service and interior design skills the business has continued to grow to where it is it today. This honour follows a number of awards presented to Jill over the past few years in recognition of her contribution and achievement within the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism industry. These include an honorary doctorate of business from Plymouth University, being named as one of the top 100 women in hospitality by Women 1st and a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Women 1st Shine Awards.
