We opened the doors of St Petroc’s Bistro near Padstow Harbour, over 30 years ago. Offering a relaxed experience with a menu that focuses on celebrating the best of Cornish produce and comforting French bistro dishes. Inspired by Rick’s travels in search of France’s best recipes, expect frog’s legs with garlic butter to start followed by duck cassoulet, baked whole bream and bouillabaisse with langoustines and mussels for the main course.
Whether you find a cosy nook in the main restaurant, choose our private dining room or find a sunny spot on our terrace, you’re in is just the ticket for a few hours of pure enjoyment. Our dog friendly dining room and secret garden lets you dine with your four legged friend year round.

Our set lunch menu is a tribute to uncomplicated, honest cooking. A frisée salad to start, crisp and bitter with salty bacon and a soft-yolked egg waiting to be broken and stirred through, then roast chicken leg with buttery mash and rich chicken gravy, finished with a chocolate and whisky mousse – a meal that reminds you how joyful simplicity can be.

We know that dining out with little ones in tow should be a pleasure, not a challenge. That’s why our dedicated children’s menu is packed with dishes that even the fussiest eaters will love.
While you settle in, we’ll bring over complimentary hummus and crudités to keep tiny tummies happy. We’ve also got highchairs for little diners and plenty of colouring-in to keep their hands busy.
Our Charity Lunches offer a unique opportunity to enjoy a three-course meal while supporting local causes. Each autumn, look forward to a specially created set lunch menu, with £2.50 from each meal donated to charity.
In 2024 the chosen charity and menu changed every two weeks, allowing diners to support to multiple community initiatives and enjoy many dishes.
