Perched on the edge of Poole Harbour, our glass-walled dining room lets you feast on the freshest catch while watching passing boats. Serving timeless seafood dishes, our restaurant transforms from a leisurely lunch spot to an intimate evening affair, with harbour lights twinkling across the water.
Let our expert team guide you through a fab dining experience. Our sommelier will pair your Dover sole or showstopping fruits de mer with the perfect wine, while our knowledgeable servers share the stories behind each dish. From selecting the freshest catch to tableside preparation, we’re here to ensure every moment at your harbour view table becomes memorable – with the added theatre of sunset over the harbour on show for everyone to marvel at whilst enjoying the Sandbanks experience.
New Bar Menu
Rick, Jack and our chefs have been busy working on something that lots of you have asked for – an exciting new menu just for our relaxed bar.
Seafood is still at the heart of the menu but the experience will feel very different to that in our upstairs restaurant. More of a casual, pop in for a bite and a drink with choices of tacos, burgers, tempura, sushi, salads and a few larger mains, including lobster, egg and chips (a favourite of Jill’s). Bookings aren’t always needed, just stop by when you want.
Look forward to rolling off the beach to enjoy our famously warm welcome and hospitality but whilst dining in our chilled bar space.
EASTER DINING
Easter is a time to come together, slow down, and enjoy good food with family and friends. We’re celebrating the season with a selection of special dishes – from delicate lemon sole with fragrant lemongrass butter to tender lamb cutlets served with a vibrant heritage tomato, shallot and basil salad. Whether you’re joining us for a long, leisurely lunch or a special supper over the Easter weekend, we look forward to welcoming you.
Step straight off the beach and into our relaxed bar for something new to Sandbanks. We’ve listened to your feedback and are excited to bring you a new menu, just for the downstairs bar.
Think tacos, sushi, burgers, tempura and salads, alongside a few larger mains including fish and chips – served 12noon – 9pm every day.
Enjoy a leisurely three-course lunch of seasonal dishes including Vietnamese poached chicken salad, French onion burger with chips and to finish, try our peanut butter cheesecake.

Our new Share and Compare platter has landed. For £35, enjoy this fabulous seafood feast in our bar dining area – perfect for casual dining. Whether you’ve just come off the beach with family and your four-legged friend or are stopping in for a quick lunch, this platter is ideal for two to share.
Featuring the best of the sea, served with chips, gravy, tartare sauce and mushy peas. It’s also a bit of a guessing game. Try different seafood species, compare their flavours, and see if you can guess what you’re eating.
Join us every Thursday evening from 6pm in our harbour view restaurant for an evening of live music with local saxophonist Wendy Allen. Sit back with a glass of your favourite wine, enjoy a table of fresh seafood and let the soulful sounds of Wendy’s saxophone set the perfect backdrop to your evening.

We can accommodate tables up to 30 in our Bar Dining area, perfect for group get togethers and work functions. Our team create bespoke packages for larger groups with a selection of canapés and buffet options to suit a variety of events.
We can only accommodate tables up to 8 guests in the Harbour View restaurant and can’t guarantee that larger groups booking separate tables will be sat close to each other.
Tables of 12 or more will be required to pre-order and our team will be in contact prior to your booking to arrange this.

Our terrace overlooking Poole Harbour is currently closed for the winter, but we can’t wait to welcome you back when the weather warms up.
During the warmer months, our terrace offers the perfect spot for drinks and dining, with a front-row seat to stunning harbour views and sunshine from around 1:30pm each day. Stay tuned for its reopening and join us for cocktails in the sun when the time comes.

TRAVELLING TO THE RESTAURANT
Sandbanks is popular for visitors in Poole and Bournemouth, it’s important to plan ahead. Please allow plenty of time in order to travel and park during the summer months. The pay and display car park opposite the restaurant can be very busy during the summer / good weather days.
COMPLIMENTARY PICK UP / DROP OFF SERVICE
Why not book a complimentary pick up and or drop off home in our Porsche.

WINDOW TABLES
We will always do our best to accommodate requests for our limited window tables, but we are unable to guarantee or allocate on booking as we need to retain flexibility and write our table plans daily.
TABLE ALLOCATION
Our allocated table times should enable you to have a relaxed dining experience. If you reach the end of your table allocation we may ask that you retire to our bar to finish your post dinner drinks or coffee.
CHILDREN
Children are welcome to join us in all areas of the seafood restaurant. Please include children of all ages in your reservation.
We do not allow pushchairs or prams in our Harbour View restaurant.
DOGS
Dogs are welcome to join you in the bar. We have a limited number of bookable tables and you are welcome on a walk-in basis. Unfortunately dogs are not permitted on our outdoor terrace.
DRESS CODE
We have a relaxed dining atmosphere, so welcome guests to wear whatever they feel comfortable in. Most opt for smart-casual. However we do ask guests to refrain from wearing beachwear and request that they wear shoes.
CELEBRATION CAKES
We love celebrating special moments with you, and if you’d like to bring your own cake, we’re happy to accommodate with a small £30 fee.
